I'm a travelin' man
I've made a lot of stops all over the world
And in every port I own the heart

Who wouldn't like to have Spike come to visit for a few days?
Now, you have the opportunity to put a little Spike in your life and help a worthy charity at the same time!
The Bloody Awful Poet Society and Support Spike are heading up an effort to send a Diamond Select Spike Action Figure to fans around the world to raise funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
So, how do you get involved and host Traveling Spike? We thought you'd never ask! Here are the guidelines:
1. Potential Hosts are asked to donate a minimum of $5.00 U.S. to the Glaser Foundation. Scroll down the James Marsters Fundraiser page on information of how to make a Direct Donation. Of course, donations of any amount above the minimum will be gratefully accepted by the Foundation.
2. Once you've made your donation, send an email to TravelingSpike@aol.com. We'll need your full name and address so that we can add you to the list of Hosts.
3. When you receive Traveling Spike in the mail, your turnaround time before you send him on his way is 3 days (72 hours). You will need to email TravelingSpike@aol.com to confirm you received TS and get the address for the next Host on the list. While TS is visiting you, you'll be asked to compose a post for this Blog about his adventures at your place and to post at least one photo of him enjoying himself (if you don't have digital photo capabilities, you'll receive information on where to send your photo).
4. Send Traveling Spike to his next Host (via Priority Mail or its equivalent in other countries)
How long will his journey last? That will depend on how many people sign up to be Hosts.
When he's completed his trip, the entries from this Blog, as well as the photos, will be transferred to hard copy and put in a scrapbook that James Marsters has signed. The scrapbook and Traveling Spike will then be auctioned with all proceeds benefitting the Glaser Foundation. James Marsters also will receive a duplicate scrapbook with the names of all who participated.
Please feel free to post the URL for Traveling Spike's Blog -
travelingspike.blogspot.com - wherever you think Spike fans would be interested in reading about this project.
We hope that you consider becoming a Host. While great strides have been made in Pediatric AIDS research and treatment, too many children across the globe are still suffering and dying.
Traveling Spike hopes to hear from you soon!
